Where we left the Caracals last night was full of Buffalos and Wildebeests. We couldn’t find them again, so we headed towards the Mara river. Wildebeests seem to be moving primarily towards the east, following the heavy rains. We had an extraordinary scene of a Jackal hunting an Impala fawn, and being chased off by two female Impalas after catching it. A rare occasion of the hunted succeeding in chasing the hunter away. We also had a nice and rare sighting of a Serval, and in the afternoon, amidst heavy rain, we found the three male Cheetahs eating a Wildebeest. When they finished they crossed the raging waters of the Talek river, while a couple of Lionesses hunted a Wildebeest in the bushes.
