With great pleasure and emotion, I am announcing the launch of my second book, titled “One Life”, and of an online crowdfunding campaign to support its production. People interested will be able to pre-order the book starting from Monday May 18th 2020 at 10.00am Kenyan time until June 21st 2020 on the Kickstarter platform (link below). Should the campaign be successful, the books will be shipped out in October 2020 . Below you’ll find more info on the book and on the Kickstarter system.
The book tells the story of a life through approximately 100 primarily black and white images of African wildlife in their habitat. One story but different characters who take it forward with each image. It’s a long journey from birth through childhood, independence, isolation, confrontation with others, through deserts, rivers, thunderstorms, always searching for the rising sun and one’s own place in this world.
The principle of the kickstarter system is basically to ask interested people around the world to support us in the funding for this book by pre-ordering on the Kickstarter page (link above). In addition, supporters will have a choice of other great rewards available at very discounted prices, including online photography and post-production courses with me, limited edition fine-art prints and some amazing private safaris with me to the Masai Mara and Amboseli in Kenya.
Kickstarter terms and conditions are “all or nothing”, meaning that should the funding target be reached during the campaign period, from May 18th to June 21st 2020, supporters’ money will be deducted from their credit cards at the end of the campaign. Books will then be sent out to pledgers in October 2020. Other rewards such as the courses and the safaris have flexible delivery dates, to be agreed with the pledger.
However, should the funding target not be reached in time, no funding will be provided for the production of the book. Pledgers money will not be collected and the project will not be realized.
Therefore I am asking all who are potentially interested in the book or in any of the available rewards, to support the project between the 18th May and 21st June 2020 through the link provided below. It is thanks to this support that the book will actually see the light of day.

Hoping that “One Life” will take you to Africa with your imagination, while waiting to be able to get back here in person.0
