This morning, first day of our Photographic Workshop, we found three generations of the Ol Kiombo pride of Lions gathered together around two recently killed Buffalo carcasses. The eight new cubs were there, gorging themselves until their bellies seemed almost to burst, their mothers and the young adolescent Lions born in early 2008. Two of the males were also there, but it seemed like they spent the night eating and they retired quickly to the shade. Here one of the cubs plays on the Buffalo’s head at the very last light, with its older brothers in the background.
