Back in Nairobi for a week now. I have been busy with a job here and sorting out logistic issues concerning my vehicle. I have been editing images from the month of January. I am finalizing a special report on the photographic workshop just concluded, which will be on line as soon as possible. In this image, a White Rhino and her calf in the Yellow-fever Acacia forest around Lake Nakuru.
Another image of a White Rhino in Lake Nakuru NP. The dust is blown by the Rhino’s breath.
A lioness rests on a Yellow-fever Acacia branch in Lake Nakuru NP. It is not uncommon to see lions climbing trees to rest in Lake Nakuru NP. However, it is not clear yet why some populations of Lions develop this habit. The most famous tree-climbing lions are in Lake Manyara NP in Tanzania and in the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth NP in Uganda.
