This morning the female Cheetah was still surrounded by the Three boys. They stayed together for the whole day, and it seems like she is approaching estrous as she rolled repeatedly in the grass, but whenever the males would dare to get close she would hiss and snarl, or even scratch. It is an interesting behavior to watch although very brief interactions are separated by very long periods of inactivity, when all the Cheetahs just lie down almost invisible in the tall grass. We left them in the evening still together, we’ll see tomorrow whether they will actually mate.
