On our last early morning drive in the Mara before moving to Nakuru we returned to the area where we saw the Caracals yesterday but obviously they have vanished. So we drove across the Rift Valley and reached Lake Nakuru NP in the evening, in time for a short game drive to enjoy the emerald green long grass in the Yellow-fever Acacia forest. The level of the lake is still very high and a lot of water flows into it from all the surrounding hills.
