A thin layer of dust surrounded a trio of Giraffes drinking at sunrise. We watched them for a while and later we set out to look for interesting Elephants’ situations. I was extremely pleased to find one of the biggest bulls in the ecosystem, an old one I had watched in March, with an extremely long left tusk. He inspected a few females and grazed in the marsh surrounded by two younger bulls. A typical situation in Elephant bulls’ society. Regretfully we had to leave Amboseli and its magnificent Elephants. Please support their conservation and research at Amboseli Elephant Research Trust (www.elephanttrust.org).
