The Ridge pride of Lions chased the Cheetahs across the Olare Orok River. In the late morning we followed them as they hunted Thompson’s Gazelle’s fawns out in the short grass plains. On the Topi plains at sunrise, besides immense herds of Wildebeests, we found a clan of Hyenas playing joyfully in the water. In the second part of the day the Double Crossing pride of Lions was still feasting on a Wildebeest and the single tiny cub was particularly exuberant, stalking all the other members of the family repeatedly and jumping all over. The heaviest downpour came this afternoon turning the roads into rivers and the savanna into a swamp!
