After a much needed break I travelled today back to the Masai Mara. I was greeted by the first sunny day after some time, big herds of wildebeests still grazing on the short grass plains, and most of all, a major surprise appearance of a Pangolin, one of the rarest and most unusual animals to see. By the look in the Thompson’s Gazelles’ faces, it seems I was not the only one to see my first Pangolin today! The Pangolin is a nocturnal ant-eating animal, whose skin is made of scales which produce a strange humming sound as it walks.
