After a long break I am finally getting ready to return to the Masai Mara this coming week. In the meantime I made a quick visit to the Aberdares NP. It is a fantastic mountain park, with amazing views on valleys covered in highland forest and streams flowing through. Though the animals are numerous, sighting them is extremely difficult due to the thick forest surrounding the tracks. However, I came across three Leopards in the space of one morning, a mother and a grown cub and this lone female, extremely confident as she walked past the vehicle. Other animals include Elephants, huge herds of Buffalos with massive horns, Black Rhinos, Warthogs, Giant Forest Hogs, Bushbucks, Black-fronted Duickers, Sykes Monkeys and Black and White Colobuses.
