Today I concentrated on a rather remote area of the park. It rained heavily the whole night so the roads were all flooded and the sand has turned to mud. But around lake kioko there were a few groups of elephants grazing, including a couple of bulls in musth. I spent most of the day with them and in the afternoon I was in the middle of a heavenly scene: low sun, crisp air, blue sky with big fluffy clouds, green pastures, cattle egrets and about a hundred elephants grazing peacefully. And no other human being in sight.
