We headed straight out to where we saw the Caracal family yesterday, we searched everywhere but couldn’t find any sign of them. We watched some Lions on a kill, while the three male Cheetahs that we call Honey’s boys (from the name of their late mother) killed a Wildebeest calf. The Caracal was sighted across the river from where we were looking for her, ironically, just out of our camp! Today many thousands of Wildebeests crossed the Kenya-Tanzania border, heading back south into the Serengeti. I sure hope they will be back. Probably the abundant rains of these past few days attracted them down earlier than usual. In the evening Olive rested in the shade, and her son Pacha appeared at dusk, looked at her, but she growled back to him. At 26 months old the two cubs should be on their own way.
