Due to the high level of activity on the Topi plains yesterday, we returned there again this morning. We found Joy and the five cubs out in the plains and returning to the Salanga Lugga, where they are spending most of their time these days. Upon hearing of the arrival of the three male Cheetahs, Honey’s boys into the Ol Kiombo, we headed there, hoping they would hunt. Unfortunately they retired to the shade of a tree as the day became warm. Further north, a couple of Leopards was in a honeymoon along a line of bushes. We managed to see them mate repeatedly but never in the open. So we decided to return to the three Cheetahs in the afternoon, as they were clearly on a hunt again, among huge herds of Wildebeests. Unfortunately, an unexpected encounter with a male Lion changed their plans and they changed area, moving to the Topi plains where we took this image of Cheetah and Wildebeests silhouetted way after sunset, on 6400 ISO.
