With a long delay due to the crash of my hard drive on September 27th, I am now posting images and comments for the last few days of the last safari of September. We had a very busy last day, with beautiful male Lions courting females in the golden morning light, a nice Serval walking around in the morning light, and the male Leopard Pacha, climbing a tree where he had stashed a Wildebeest kill. A lone Lioness searching for her pride mates posed for us beautifully in the beautiful sunset light. As we drove back to camp we came across a pride of Lions who hunted a Wildebeest in the dusk. The Lioness was not able to hold the prey down and the Wildebeest got up, chased the Lion away and ran back to join its herd. Quite an amazing scene, if only it had happened some minutes before!
