We found the three Leopards Olive, Ngayoni and Bahati where they had the kill yesterday. The kill was gone, but their bellies were full and they were in the mood to play. We saw a lot of fights, ambushes, chases, with all three Leopards taking part in the games. It is clear that Olive still treats Ngayoni as her cub, even though he is about 27 months old, so he should be fully independent by now. She went to call him last night, and today she was playing with him as much as she was playing with Bahati. Near Lookout Hill we found a female Cheetah with two big cubs, about 14 months old, which I had seen once already in May. And in the afternoon we had a great time with a Lioness and her three small cubs, who played a lot very energetically. Nearby was a male, one of Notch’s sons, sleeping the day through and only raising his head briefly at sunset.
