We headed again to where we left the Leopards yesterday. We found them not far, they were still eating their kill, which was now cached in an intricate Gardenia tree. Lorian walked around the tree with the cubs, before going back to eat. During lunch time she transferred the remains of the kill to a nearby Gardenia, and the cubs came out to play beautifully. Conditions for photography are difficult due to the very long grass, but the cubs chose to play extensively on the track, not a particularly nice setting but at least we could see them nicely. Mum joined in for some games, before deciding to return the kill to the same tree where it was in the morning. As she paused in the walk though, one of the cubs took it back all the way, so Lorian had to carry it all over again. We left them in the falling darkness, after another amazing day in the life of this very elusive and fantastic feline.
