Upon returning from the United States of America for the award ceremony for the Nature’s Best Windland Smith Rice Award, I found the March-April edition of OASIS, the most important Italian magazine about nature and environment. It features my extensive article about the Leopards of the Masai Mara. In particular, the article tells the story of the female Leopard Olive during the year 2009. The images accompanying the article feature Olive and other Leopards which I met throughout the years. Most of them were shot in the Mara, some in Lake Nakuru and Buffalo Springs. The image on the cover was taken in 2006 and is of Zawadi, another famous Mara Leopard. She is now sixteen years old, a true record for a wild Leopard, and she is still in good shape.
