Back where the leopard was yesterday I was stunned to find two leopards, both males approximately of the same age. The owner of the kill pursued the other incessantly for an hour, across the plains and into the gulley, until they came to touching distance. At that point we were expecting a confrontation but they just split up and went separate ways after a few snarls, both up on Rhino ridge. Down at the Mara river an interesting surprise, as three of the marsh male lions were far from their territory and Scar was mating aggressively and very frequently with a female from the Rekero pride. At sunset we had another gorgeous rainbow above them, and we also managed to see a river crossing in between, with a crocodile successful attack just in front of us. A wonderful first day.
