Last morning on this one-week safari in the Mara, and what a morning, as we had seen all the big five before nine am! We usually don’t chase the big five or any other wildlife list to tick off, but this morning it just happened. We found a wonderful Black Rhinoceros before sunrise just out of camp, crossing the plains from one patch of bushes to the next. The Leopard Saba was also out not far, also crossing an open patch before disappearing in the riverine forest. It looks like she is doing fine even without her late mother Olive to give her food anymore. We then found Lions with cubs along a stream in the heart of the reserve.
