We caught up early with the three Cheetahs and followed them as they looked for prey. They finally found a herd of Impalas with a fawn. After a long long wait they started the chase and easily caught the fawn. As we got closer the poor fawn stood up again and resumed running, pursuited by two of the Cheetahs. I was caught by surprise with way too much lens as I had the 600mm with the 1.4 extender also, for the chase! The third Cheetah had been left behind, but quickly joined the brothers feeding. In the afternoon we decided to leave the Cheetahs and search for Leopards in a different area and we were lucky as just before sundown the Pump station femaled appeared from the rocky hill. It was wonderful to be alone with her as she walked along the bushes, from a termite mound to another enjoying the evening breeze. We left her watching a herd of Impalas in the dark, will she hunt tonight?
