Our day in Central Serengeti started of course where we left the Leopards the night before. We found them just before sunrise, but the cubs were alone. We followed them as they climbed up and down the tree, posing nicely for some silhouette images. The mother was not around, we waited for some time. She returned in the middle of the morning, and we left to explore the Moru Kopjes area. The scenery in Serengeti is simply amazing, with these huge Kopjes emerging from the grassy plains. In the afternoon we stayed with the Leoaprds again. The mother left them to go hunting. She stopped in the tall grass not far from two Giraffes calves alone without adults. We waited until dark for something to happen, knowing that Leopards might attack Giraffe calves, although it’s very rare. She didn’t move at all, and the adult Giraffes reappeared and joined their calves. The Leopard remained hidden in the grass.
