Following multiple requests from many guests, I am finally able to offer a trip to the Southern Serengeti plains to see the Great Wildebeests’ migration at the time when the cows are giving birth to their calves. In the short grass plains of the Southern Serengeti, several hundreds of thousands of Wildbeests cows give birth to their calves within less than a month. During the rainy season the grass is rich in minearls, ideal for the growth of the calves. Predators’ activity abounds, with most of them taking advantage of this moltitude of new calves, relatively easy meals. On the way we’ll stop one night at the extraordinary Ngorongoro Crater, and three nights near the Kopjes in the Southern area of the Serengeti NP, huge rocky boulders emerging from the plains, where predators take refuge from the heat of the day.
It will be a trip as usual for a maximum of 8 people divided on two vehicles. I will not drive personally because of stringent Tanzanian legislations not allowing non-Tanzanian citizens and vehicles to drive guests in the parks. I’ll seat next to the drive guiding the trip and giving directions for optimal positioning.
The trip will be for 9 nights, starting from Arusha. Please contact me if you are interested to receive the full program and the costs.
