I explored the Grumeti river at length and soon realized that very few Wildebeests were still in the area. It was an early migration this year and the Grumeti river was relatively quiet, with only Hippos and Crocodiles sleeping in its banks. The riverine forest surrounding the river is very thick and there are very few places where you can see the river. I did see some Lions and Cheetahs in the area, but not particularly exciting sightings. I left with the feeling that it must be very hard to take images of Wildebeests and Crocodiles interactions when the migration is in the area, which makes me admire even more the work of great photographers who have succeeded.
