Last June I spent some time with the Marsh Lions with their ten cubs, about three months old at the time. It was the beginning of a hard time for the Lions of this area, as prey becomes really scarce on the short grass plaing during the dry season. I was happy to find that six of those cubs have survived the hardest times and are now enjoying their times of plenty. One cloudy afternoon they woke up from their sleep in the heart of the marsh, and began playing. They involved the Lionesses and it was a joy to watch them chase each other, jump, fight, run in and out of ditches. They played for more than two hours, an amazing moment which gave us a lot of photo opportunities.
