The Southern Serengeti plains host an amazing variety of wildlife. On all my trips I always had sightings of the most rare and unusual creatures, such as the Striped Hyena, a very shy and nocturnal animal which can be found in the woodland around Lake Ndutu.
Another extremely hard to see mammal, the Honey Badger. It was particularly nice to find a mother with her baby trotting relentlessly in the open plains, while we were searching for a Cheetah!
